33 Year Old Woman Killed In Prince William County After Ejection From Vehicle
The Washington Post reports that a 33 year-old woman was tragically killed after being ejected from a vehicle last Friday in Prince William County after colliding with a tractor trailer. According to police, early reports fault the truck driver for running a red traffic signal. The deceased was later identified as Fresia D. Melo. Police said the truck driver and several others in the SUV were uninjured by the collision. It is believed that the deceased was not wearing a seatbelt.
We would predict this unfortunate death will result in a wrongful death lawsuit against the truck driver for running the red traffic signal. Preliminary investigations by the police, according to the Post, state that no other factors (substance abuse, speeding, etc.) were involved in the collision.
